| Assessment | |||||||||||||
|
The initial visit is a full hour and includes: a detailed personal history, an evaluation of your strength and flexibility in simple Yoga postures, a breath capacity analysis and the initial recommendations for your personal Yoga program. |

| Biomechanical Re-Education | |||||||||||||
|
A complete evaluation of your body alignment throughout a typical day. A short course on sitting, standing, lifting, walking and sleeping. A special emphasis is placed on walking or gait training. |
|||||||||||||
| Personal Yoga Program | |||||||||||||
|
Designed to bring both strength and flexibility to your spine as well as an over-all state of balance to the body and mind. Incorporated are principles of: breathing, Yoga asana, dynamic and static movement, and sequencing. A 15-30 minute format is recommended to fit your busy schedule. |

The first phase provides a dialogue for changing situations that aggravate your symptoms. The second phase provides you with a simple system to record the progress of your Yoga program and to rate your overall state of wellness. |

Recommendations for healthy food choices are essential to any life-style change program. We offer suggestions to meet your individual needs. Our own research shows that an increased level of water intake is very beneficial during rehabilitation work. |

| Rest and Relaxation | |||||||||||||
|
There is no substitute for an adequate amount of rest and relaxation. Yoga offers proven techniques to quiet the mind and totally relax the body. We emphasize Yoga breathing methods, Meditation, the use of sound, and Yoga Nidra, the art of relaxation. |

Most self help programs like Yoga need support systems. We offer on- going private lessons, group classes and annual Yoga vacations. |
