GUEST SPEAKER
Sherry Brourman
PT, C-IAYT, E-RYT500
-
Sherry is a movement educator with 50 years as a physical therapist and 25 years as a yoga therapist, blending both disciplines into her teaching. Her first book, Walk Yourself Well (Hyperion, 1998), helps readers understand gait patterns, movement habits, and how subtle changes can impact efficiency and comfort. She combines PT, walk therapy, yoga therapy, and the emotional and spiritual aspects of healing in her work with private clients and small classes, both in-person and online. Sherry’s approach emphasizes self-awareness and self-compassion, guiding students to explore how their walking and yoga practices reflect one another. Her new book ‘Bodily Knowledge to Intuitive Movement’ (Singing Dragon, 2025) integrates movement science, yoga therapy, and 50 years of listening to individual stories. Sherry empowers people to manage their own healing and connect to peaceful, mindful movement.
