Larry and Rodney developed a friendship when they were both teaching at Yoga Journal conferences in the early 1990s. Rodney was approached by a large insurance conglomerate to set Yoga standards. He invited Larry, Chuck and Maty Ezraty (founders of Yoga Works) and Shri Mishra M.D. to be on his board. The company changed management but it almost happened back in the 1990s.
